The Commonwealth Bank of Australia engaged Mobile Experience to help design how customers could experience their property service for home buyers on iOS and Android mobile devices. I was contracted to work within the bank's delivery team, reporting to the executive user experience manager and design lead.
The design of the apps had been underway for sometime. I joined the team during the inception of the "activity stream". The "activity stream" is the home screen of the app which serves content intended to do a job for you based on what you've done previously and what has changed since you last used the service. For example, to let you know if there any new properties matching your last property search.
Where to place the "activity stream" in relation to other features of the app led me to undertake a holistic design of the information architecture and interaction design of the primary navigation system. In addition, I worked on the interaction design of several other features including "buying partner" which helps users shortlist properties together by linking their accounts.
